RATES AND POLICIES

The most fair way to price our repairs is to charge an hourly rate on each unit. We will first put your unit on the test bench and a technician will diagnose the repair. The tech will then contact you to discuss the next course of action. You can either accept or decline. If you accept, your unit will then be repaired as soon as possible. If you decline, your unit will be put back together and you will be charged the minimum labor fee. In both cases you will be contacted when your unit is ready to be picked up.

Just know that we are friendly and flexible with our pricing, depending on the severity of the repair.

 

  • Our Standard hourly rate is $75.00 per hour.
    There is a $75.00 deposit with each unit before any work is started. This covers the first hour labor and initial diagnostics and parts availability research. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and is applied toward the total charge. If RUSH Service is chosen, that fee is also due at this time.  An estimate with your options including a price quote will be given once the unit has been diagnosed.

 

 

• Diagnostic Fees - There is a diagnostic/estimate fee based upon item serviced. We charge a diagnostic fee because:

 

1.) Pinpointing the issue is often the greater part of any repair job.

2.) For a diagnosis to be complete, it must include a complete test of unit.

3.) In some cases, unit must be made operational to give complete diagnosis.

4.) It speeds up the entire repair process.

 

Our standard turnaround time is about 3 to 10 days. Some repairs may take longer if parts are needed, or if things are extremely messed up.

 

The customer is responsible for all shipping costs of any parts that need to be ordered.

 

  • We will perform RUSH service for an extra $75/ hour (1 hour minimum)
    This guarantees you are at the top of the queue.  However, you may still have to wait if special parts need to be ordered. You may request expedited shipping of parts. This cost will be added to your invoice.

 

  •  Pick up/Drop off service - base fee of $25, plus $2/mile.
    If you can't make it into the shop, I can come pick up your gear and/or drop it off when the repair is complete.  Hey, I'm not driving to Sequim for free.

 

  • On-site diagnostics/ House Calls / Training- $125/hour (1 hour minimum)
    If you need me to come out and diagnose your entire system, or if you just need someone to explain how to set up your new PA system.  Don't be afraid to ask how to do something, I'm happy to pass on my knowledge and experience to you!

 

  • Over the phone Troubleshooting / Training- $75/hour (1 hour minimum)
    When you need Tech Support, but don't need someone to be hands-on.  Hours of availability may vary.

 

  • Storage
    Do you see a sign out front that says 'Dead Amp Storage'?  Of course you don't.
    You MUST pick up your gear within 2 weeks after notification that it is completed. Any units left OVER 2 weeks will have STORAGE FEES added to the final bill, calculated at the rate of $40.00 PER WEEK. Equipment that accrues storage fees will NOT be released unless storage and repair charges are paid in full. These fees are strictly a deterrent, since we're not in the business of storing your gear.  I have enough crap in my own place! However, we will make exceptions for delayed pickup, provided we are notified ahead of the end of the 2 week period. See?  We are friendly and flexible!  At 30 days past customer notification, your gear will be considered abandoned, at which point a Certified Letter of Disposal will be sent to the customer. If we receive no response, the unit will be either sold or scrapped, or donated to an educational program, depending on it's condition.

 

 

Warranty

TheAuralsphere warranty covers parts for 30 days and labor for 90 days as of the original invoicing date. This warranty only covers parts and labor time applicable to the original complaint and work done.

Our Parts Warranty covers only parts purchased and installed by Auralsphere Electronics. Our labor warranty does not apply if parts installed are not purchased from Auralsphere.

The warranty is void if any signs of abuse or misuse are found. Determination of what constitutes abuse or misuse is at the sole discretion of Auralsphere Electronics.
